In 2003 the state spent 10 m roubles on creation and support of state power bodies Internet portals. According to First Deputy RF Minister of Trade and Economic Development Andrey Sharonov, ”these expenses were provided for in the budget as part of realization of ”Electronic Russia” federal targeted programme.
He said that ”expenditure on creating united state information resources last year increased by 75 per cent – the amount of financing for portals devoted to different fields of state power bodies’ activity and their main programmes reached 17.7 m roubles”. Sharonov noted substantial increase ”Electronic Russia” funding. According to his data, ”last year it increased by 2.4 times”.
