Mr. V. Bugaenko was appointed Head of the Federal Service for Communications Supervision. Mr. D. Milovantsev was nominated Head of the Federal Communications Ministry. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation developed a project management information system as part of Electronic Russia federal target program. By the end of 2004, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation plans to launch the Small Business Information Portal as part of the Electronic Russia federal target program. The scope of budget funding of events under Electronic Russia federal target program in the Kirov Region may exceed RUR 6 million in 2004.

15 % of legal entities in Russia have a possibility of submitting e-tax documents, – Ministry for Taxes and Duties (MTD).

The opportunity of submitting e-tax documents with electronic digital signature is provided for 15 % of RF legal entities. That was declared by Deputy RF Minister for taxes and duties (MTD) Mikhail Mishustin at the enlarged session of the RF Ministry of Communications Board in Moscow. According to him, MTD together with the RF Ministry of Communications got more accurate information about nearly all address objects on the Russian territory in order to establish a complete database for the federal tax service. Accurate information was obtained for the country’s 350 address objects, new address information has been added about over 2 thousand settlements in Russia. Currently “last mile” solution are being provided for all MTD objects on the Russian territory with the employment of all kinds of telecommunication technologies, including satellite communication, wide-band access and Internet technologies.
